10. Lean Accounting - Standard Costing does not fit well along side a Lean process. Standard costing is based on manufacturing efficiency with a focus on economy of scale, which dramatically increases inventory. Lean is focused on reducing waste to improve the overall effectiveness of a process to meet the customers needs.
